Especially the Hindu Santa who says his phone vibrates and tickles him, or "The Jews" who make a dreidel out of meat.

Sony Rootkit Update

Well, I told you about the Sony Rootkit that hides it's software from the system -- now Warcraft users are using Sony BMG to cheat!

World of Warcraft hackers using Sony BMG rootkit -

Blizzard Entertainment, the maker of World of Warcraft, has created a controversial program that detects cheaters by scanning the processes that are running at the time the game is played. Called the Warden, the anti-cheating program cannot detect any files that are hidden with Sony BMG's content protection, which only requires that the hacker add the prefix "$sys$" to file names.

Man, that's pretty sweet ;-)

Sex Offender Resource!

Ok, I was watching CNN and saw this...

Its a privately funded website which uses GOOGLE mapping technology and overlays registered sex offenders.

I looked up my address in Staten Island where I lived from 1975-1983 found that where my really good friends Marc and Wayne lived, just 1.4 miles from me was this bad ass who served 18 years for rape and sodomy. Then I looked in Marlboro and found a few there too and in Freehold of course.

The cool thing is that if you click the dot that represents an offender...IT USUALLY PULLS UP THE MUG SHOT!!! So you can protect your kids and show them who to watch out for. Also overlays schools and playgrounds on the map.

Sony Rootkits

Real geeky article, but it boils down to Sony installing invisible software on your computer. Another good reason to avoid Sony products ;-)

Rootkits are cloaking technologies that hide files, Registry keys, and other system objects from diagnostic and security software, and they are usually employed by malware attempting to keep their implementation hidden.
