The New Yorker

There is a controversy about the latest cover of the New Yorker. People are calling it tasteless and offensive...

That is Offensive... $4.50 for an issue of the New Yorker? What is inside is interesting after you sift through the ads for Sotheby's real estate listings of multi-million dollar homes and ads for expensive cars and overpriced cheeses...

The cover is thought-provoking and the story explains it all... don't judge a magazine by its cover...Plus, the amount of publicity it has generated and the fact that every report on it mentions that Obama is a devout Christian, probably has given the general public more information about the mis...rather disinformation that has been circulating.

The real problem is although those who subscribe to the New Yorker *may* get the satire (not sure that anyone who spends 4.50 on a magazine is that swift), now that everyone is seeing it the cover is just as popular with those who believe these ridiculous things about Obama.

The only thought the cover provokes for many is "I don't want that in the white house" -- and that is the problem.

For a good laugh --
