I can be serious sometimes...

I can even be deep. It is said that the Eskimos have over a thousand words for snow. Snow is such a predominant part of Eskimo life that they have so many ways to describe its textures, colors, and other characteristics.

We as a society have an infinite way to describe having sex with someone. Making Love, Fucking, Screwing, Humping...you get the picture. We can come up with an endless number of metaphors or euphemisms for it too. Even everyday phrases said with a wink or a bit of sarcasm can insinuate sex.

So why is it that there is only one way to say "I Love You?" Does this imply that sex is more a part of our everyday lives than love is, or that it is more important?

I'm not really anonymous, I just didn't feel like jumping through all those hoops...while there might be an infinite number of ways to suggest sex, there are also many ways to convey love. And between the partners it can take many different forms. Like shoveling my driveway after a heavy 6" Baltimore snow, for example. (ha, that's a jab!) Or spending half an hour helping me find my car keys without the sarcastic comments. It's there, but it doesn't have the same vocabulary and isn't edgy the way so much of modern culture is; it's simple. And really tough to find. Your friends don't generally want to hear how your significant other barbecued in the snow or hooked up your gas dryer while you were at work, they'd rather laugh about some drunk knucklehead giving blowjobs in the back of the bar. That's comedy gold! And we seek levity since for the most part, the rest of our lives reek of banality and routine. Am I right or am I right people?

My personal favorite is the classic "making the beast with two backs", by the way. Ahh, Shakespeare! And for some reason "sugar walls" makes me laugh uncontrollably for a couple minutes at least...

Do they have escort services up there in the artic? Shall I make you a reservation?
