A Life Metaphor...

Here I go again making analogies and stuff. I realized why people feel they NEED religion.

People want their life to be like Riding "Shotgun" with God. You have the most comfortable seat in the car and are in a better place than the other people in there with you, yet God is behind the wheel and doing all the driving. You get to go along for the ride. Long ago I felt it was more like people wanted to be Middle Management...in charge of a large group of people, but not totally accountable if things go wrong. I think riding "shotgun" is a bit more accurate a depiction.
