Movies

So to rid the world of this myth that I don't see movies...
I saw another movie today; so here is my last 5:

  • Simpsons: The Movie (July 2007)
If you like the Simpsons AND Movies, you'll probably like it

  • Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy (April 2005)
Odd, Rambling, British... Fairly good screen translation

  • Fahrenheit 9/11 (June 2004)
If 1/10th of it is true, you should be outraged

  • Tears of the Sun (March 2003)
Thought it was a generic war movie chock full of one liners, turns out to be about genocide, chock full of one liners.

  • Spiderman (May 2002)
Didn't 'wow' me as much as it appears to have done to others.

That's right, I am a movie fiend!

I definitely wanna check out the Simpsons flick. I disagree with you however about the Hitchiker's Guide. 1) WTF was the love story BS they threw in there??? 2) They never even mentioned the deal with the towel!

There was a bit on the towel in the guide! If they did EVERYTHING from the book, the movie would have been 36 hours long.

Who DIDN'T want to have a love story with Trillian?

Except I guess Mr K (who I read the book for a report).... she was too old for him.

I really have to agree with Chuck here. The movie version of The Guide tried to fit too much of all the books into one movie, and the love crap was too obviously glued on. They should've just done one or two of the books. At most. Golf club fight!

I found it a very good adaptation from the book and thought the screenplay writer had more than enough credentials to change anything he wanted to make it the movie.

So, does this mean that you're tapped out on movies until 2009? I guess that's kinda good; and sad all at once. Something good will probably be out in 2009, but then that means you're gonna miss out on The Dark Knight and Iron Man. I betting those two will be worth the price of admission.
